From One Mom to Another

These are some resources I have collected that have helped me during pregnancy through parenting. They range from cord blood registry information to helping your baby sleep better. I hope you find some useful information on these pages.

Baby Budget - When asked how much the baby was going to cost us, I provided my husband with this itemized list of gear, toiletries, etc.

Cord Blood Registries -This is a list of companies that will bank your baby's cord blood. Most hospitals will also accept cord blood donations.

Hospital Bag List - This is a list of items to pack and bring with you to the hospital for delivery.

Interviewing a Pediatrician - This is a list of questions to ask a prospective pediatrician.

Sample Birth Plan - This was a friend's birth plan. She was prepared for a natural labor and delivery. I copied most of her plan and edited some things for my own wishes.

Weekly/Monthly Costs of Having a Baby - This is an estimate of daily/weekly costs of raising a baby.

During Parenthood:

Advice for Helping Soothe Your Baby to Sleep - A short list of things that helped soothe my son and help him to fall asleep.

Breastfeeding Survival Tips - A comprehensive list of tips and information to help you form a successful breastfeeding relationship with your baby.

Surviving Your Baby's Cold - Helpful hints for easing the symptoms of the common cold.

disclaimer: These are a compilation of articles I've written to friends, or advice from my mother or friends. They are not written by doctors. Be sure to check with your pediatrician for any medical advice. Remember, that all babies are different. What works for one may not work for your baby.
